Our impacts and initiatives.

CERNE works on tailored projects aimed at enhancing the economic integration of Rio Grande do Norte and the Northeast region of Brazil with the world, and promoting the socioeconomic development of these regions through critical mass and reflection on the direction of the natural resources and energy sector, both nationally and internationally.

Establish itself as the leading hub for integration among companies, universities, and research centers, aiming to strengthen and improve the attractiveness and feasibility of projects and investments related to natural and energy resources, as well as the competitiveness of the associated goods and services industry, based in Rio Grande do Norte and the Northeast Region of Brazil.

Monitor technological and regulatory evolution as well as trends in the industrial, financial, and operational sectors related to natural and energy resources in Rio Grande do Norte and the Northeast Region, considering their reorganization in Brazil and globally, and make this information available to all its members.

Create and maintain an updated information system consisting of databases on ongoing projects and operations in these areas, serving the industrial sector, government agencies, funding agencies, and technological and academic centers.

IV

Support research and development initiatives for new techniques and/or technologies related to project design, materials, equipment, products, methodologies, and methods of analysis, valuation, and testing for the sustainable use of natural and energy resources, involving companies, research institutions, and universities, aiming at their transfer and/or utilization.

Develop social, environmental, educational, scientific, technological, cultural, sports, leisure, and public health programs, and mobilize public and private investments to promote progress and sustainability in each of the respective areas of activity related to natural resources and energy.

Conceive, develop, and execute projects, as well as conduct technical studies and research related to its Mission, and provide technical support to those working or conducting research in its technological areas of expertise.

Encourage and promote the creation of new projects and new companies with a technological and managerial focus on the sustainable use of natural and energy resources.

Organize courses, lectures, symposiums, seminars, congresses, meetings, and other events related to the promotion and implementation of its mission.

Promote the creation of cooperatives, associations, and community centers, and participate in the establishment and operation of campaigns, educational or informational programs, publications, media outlets, or other channels that serve to raise awareness, mobilize, inform, or train, in order to enhance and accelerate actions related to its mission.

Develop and participate in professional and technical courses aimed at training, certifying, and preparing workers, users, and entrepreneurs for their conscious and correct insertion into the job market and operational environment of the sectors related to natural resources and energy.

How to become a member of CERNE?

To become a member of CERNE, the company must complete the Invitation Letter and send it to CERNE, addressed to the General Secretary, along with a certified copy of its consolidated constitutive documents and certified personal documentation (ID and CPF) of its legal representatives. Afterward, the company will receive the associative documents for internal review, including the duly registered CERNE Foundation Assembly Minutes, the consolidated CERNE Social Statute, and the Minutes of Extraordinary General Assemblies signed by the founding members. The company will need to make quarterly advance contributions, according to its classification as an Operating Member or Supplier Member.

It works directly with local specifics, involving sectors such as renewable energy, mining, oil and gas, aquaculture, agriculture, and sustainable urbanism. With institutional and technical strength, CERNE collaborates with governments, legislators, social movements, and specialists to bring relevant projects to fruition. Sectoral entities, such as IBP, ABEEÓLICA, ABSOLAR, ABVE, and REDEPETRO, frequently become partners through non-compensatory agreements to address common causes.
